Questions buyers ask us

Do you make single prototypes?

Yes. Many jobs start with a few prototype or first-article pieces, often about 10, before series production. Some processes have a practical minimum because of setup or tooling; we tell you at the quote stage.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

Very small runs can be uneconomic for some factories, and tooled parts (molds, dies) only make sense above a certain volume. We will say so honestly rather than quote a poor price.

How do I send drawings, and who sees them?

By email only, after we reply to your request. Drawings go only to the factories quoting your job. If you need an NDA, we sign yours on request before you send anything. Password-protected files are welcome. You are responsible for the export classification of your drawings; we cannot accept drawings that may not legally be manufactured in China.

How do you check the parts?

The factory inspects to your drawing or QC sheet and supplies a report. Our team checks on site, with 100% inspection of appearance and dimensions on early orders. New parts go through first articles when needed. Parts are photographed before and after packing. See Quality.

Which documents do I get?

Inspection reports against your drawing, first-article reports for new parts, and material reports or certificates where required. Material compliance documents on request. Tell us at RFQ what you need, so it is part of the quote.

What happens if parts are out of spec?

Tell us with photos or measurements. We work out root cause and corrective action with the factory and confirm the fix with you. When you require it, you get an 8D report.

What are typical lead times?

Production typically takes about 30 days from PO. Tooling projects typically take about 90 days to first samples. Both depend on the part, finish and quantity, and exclude shipping. Factories close for about two to four weeks around Chinese New Year.

What are your shipping terms?

We sell EXW. Your forwarder collects the goods in China and ships by air or sea (LCL). Prototypes and small lots can go by courier.
