Assembly and kitting services to your drawing

When your product uses parts from several processes, we can bring them together: riveted and welded sub-assemblies, and kits of matching parts packed as one unit. We agree the scope and the checks for each assembly with you in writing before the quotation.

Scope, agreed before the quotation

  • Sub-assemblies

Sheet-metal parts riveted or welded together, with hardware installed, in fixtures built for the job.

  • Kits

Matching parts from several processes, counted and packed as one unit, with your labels.

  • Color matching

Metal and plastic parts painted to match, with one color reference for all of them.

  • Checks on the unit

Which functions and dimensions are checked on the assembled unit is agreed with you in writing.

Tolerances and inspection

Tolerances come from your drawing and specification. Your drawings go to the production engineers of the factory selected for your part. If a tolerance or a feature cannot be held, we raise it before production, and any change to the drawing is confirmed and approved by you in writing. Production is to the drawing.

Components are inspected to their own drawings. The assembled unit is checked to the scope agreed with you, for example fit, alignment or the presence of every part in the kit.

Inspection and documents

The factory inspects each order to your drawing or QC sheet and supplies a report. Our team in China then carries out an independent quality verification at the factory, after production and before the goods are released, and the packing is photographed. Where you specify 100% inspection, every part is inspected. Where first articles are required, series production is released only after your written confirmation. Material reports or certificates are supplied where your drawing or PO requires them.

Design notes

  1. Engineering note

    Agree the scope in writing.

The scope is agreed in writing before the quotation: the steps PAXIS takes on, and the checks that apply to the assembled unit.

  2. Engineering note

    One color reference.

Parts painted in different shops can differ. Give one color reference and approve a matched sample set.
