Tolerances and inspection

Tolerances come from your drawing and specification. Your drawings go to the production engineers of the factory selected for your part. If a tolerance or a feature cannot be held, we raise it before production, and any change to the drawing is confirmed and approved by you in writing. Production is to the drawing.

Cut-outs are made to your layout or DXF and checked against your parts when the sample is approved. The approved sample is the reference for the run.

Inspection and documents

The factory inspects each order to your drawing or QC sheet and supplies a report. Our team in China then carries out an independent quality verification at the factory, after production and before the goods are released, and the packing is photographed. Where you specify 100% inspection, every part is inspected. Where first articles are required, series production is released only after your written confirmation. Material reports or certificates are supplied where your drawing or PO requires them.

Design notes

  1. Engineering note

    Name the master file.

Send the DXF and the PDF together, and state which is the master. Unless you specify otherwise, the PDF is the master.

  2. Engineering note

    Approve a sample first.

Foam and print differ slightly between suppliers. A sample with your parts in it is approved before the run.

Questions

Can you pack our parts into the packaging?

Yes. Parts from several processes can be packed into one insert as a kit, so the kit is ready at the factory.

Do we approve a sample?

Yes. A sample is approved before the run, and it becomes the reference.

Is there a minimum quantity for custom EVA inserts?

Inserts are produced to your order quantity. Where a very small quantity is uneconomical, this is stated before the quotation.
