Materials for machined, fabricated and molded parts
The grade, temper and hardness are set by your drawing. We do not substitute a material without your written approval. When a grade is not readily available in China, this is stated before the quotation, together with an alternative for your written approval.

Grades below are examples seen in past orders, not a limit. Send the grade your drawing calls for; we confirm availability with the factory before the quotation.

Metals, plastics and specialized materials
Metals
Aluminum, copper, brass, bronze, iron and steel (including alloy, tool and mold steels), stainless steel. Bar, plate, sheet and wire, in the grade and temper on your drawing. CNC machined, fabricated in sheet metal, or coiled into custom springs. Tool steels for fixture wear parts.
Plastics
Technical plastics such as ABS, PC/ABS and glass-filled PA66. Machined for prototypes, vacuum-cast for short runs, injection molded in a mold built for your part for production: molded and machined plastic parts.
Specialized
Composites and technical textiles. Send the drawing and the material specification, and we confirm with the factory whether it can be met before the quotation.
04Documents
Material reports and certificates
Where your drawing or PO requires it, a material report or certificate is supplied with the parts. Please state your requirements with the RFQ, so that they are included in the quotation and the factory order. Material compliance documents are available on request.
05Availability
When a grade is not readily available
- Full-hard 316 was not available for one order. Half-hard 316 was proposed and approved in writing before production.
- 30% glass-filled PA66 was not obtainable for another; 50% was proposed and approved in writing.
- Aluminum temper is held as drawn: a change from H32 to H34 is not made without your approval.

Questions about materials
Can a material grade be substituted?
Only with your written approval. If a grade is not readily available in China, this is stated before the quotation, together with a proposed alternative.
Which documents are supplied?
An inspection report to your drawing or QC sheet, a first-article report when first articles are made, material reports or certificates where required, and photos before and after packing. Material compliance documents on request.
Can you supply material certificates?
Material reports or certificates are supplied where your order requires them; state the requirement in the RFQ.
What if my drawing calls up a specific standard?
We place the order with a factory that works to it, and the parts are inspected to it. If a requirement cannot be met, this is stated before the quotation, together with a proposed alternative.
